Yarn Amounts
Standard Lengths
2 (2, 3, 3, 3) (3, 4, 4, 4) skeins

Or approximately
580 (645, 725, 795, 895) (950, 110, 1125, 1245)m / 640 (710, 800, 875, 985) (1045, 1190, 1240, 1370) yards of a fingering-weight yarn

Tall Lengths
For tall lengths, you will need approximately an extra 60 (70, 75, 80, 90) (90, 100, 110, 95)m / 65 (75, 80, 90, 100) (100, 110, 120, 105) yards of fingering-weight yarn

If adding or subtracting length to this design, please be aware that meterage / yardage amounts will differ.

Yarn Substitution
Choose a wooly natural fibre fingering-weight yarn with good loft. Single ply yarns tend to bloom and become very cozy after blocking. Idea: Yarnalia Skylark

NEEDLES
• 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle 80-100cm / 32-40 inches long (longer needle for size 5+) for body, PLUS a 40cm / 16 inch circular needle for pocket
• 3 mm / US 2½ circular needle 80-100cm / 32-40 inches long (longer needle for size 5+) for hem, PLUS a circular needle 40cm / 16 inch long for collar and armhole edgings (or use longer circular and magic loop technique), PLUS 2 DPNs for button loop

Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

GAUGE (after blocking)
23 stitches x 30 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles in Stockinette stitch

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTIONS
• 2 stitch markers
• 2 removable stitch markers
• stitch holders or waste yarn
• spare needle for Three-Needle Bind-off
• yarn needle
• 1 button approximately 20mm / ¾ inches in diameter

NOTES
~ Vest is worked from the top down. First the back shoulders are worked, then fronts are picked up from shoulders and worked to underarms, and the body is joined in round. Armhole edges and neck are picked up and a few rounds of double-knit are worked for added stability.

~The length of the body can be adjusted to suit your required measurements, however the pattern’s yarn amounts might change. To determine pocket placement and body length, place all stitches onto waste yarn temporarily and try on vest to see where the pocket opening will sit on your body. It’s personal preference but the pocket tends to sit best when the opening is positioned under the lowest part of the chest.
