Biscolata
The name Biscolata is inspired by two Italian words: biscotto, meaning biscuit or cookie, and latte al cioccolato, meaning milk chocolate.
The shawl is worked sideways, from one corner to the opposite edge, and is easy to adjust in size. It alternates between three stitch patterns - crochet cables, textured diamonds, and ribbing ridges - and two colors. This not only makes the cables stand out, but also makes the pattern easier to understand and follow.

I create new crochet stitches to show a quieter, softer side of crochet: calm, simple, and casual. My patterns may look unusual at first only because the technique is new to you, just like your first chain or single crochet once was. After a little practice, it feels easy and natural.
