Something to Knit With 4ply (70% highland wool, 30% superfine alpaca; 187m [205yds] per 50g skein)
Lawn: 4 x 50g skeins

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
1 set 3.75mm [US 5] knitting needles (a circular needle may be required due to the number of stitches at the end of the shawl)
Stitch markers
Wires and/or pins, or your preferred kit for blocking lace

TENSION
21 sts and 38 rows to 10cm [4in] over centre garter stitch after washing and blocking
24 sts of Tulip Lace pattern measures 11cm [4¼in] after washing and blocking
32 rows of Tulip Lace pattern measures 10cm [4in] after washing and blocking
Lace edging at widest point measures 5.5cm [2¼in]

PATTERN NOTES
This triangular shawl is worked from the centre back neck outwards. The back neck is cast on using the nifty garter tab cast-on method. Yarn over increases are then used at the edges and centre to create two large triangles.
The first section is worked in garter stitch, before transitioning to a Tulip Lace pattern, and back to garter stitch. A knitted-on lace edging completes the shawl, and features large double yarn over holes.
