Blue Hawaii
Blue Hawaii is knitted from the top down.
The yoke is worked back and forth with lace increases around the raglan stitches and regular increases towards the bust.
Stitches are then cast on for the button bands, which are worked in garter stitch at the same time as the fronts.
At the bottom of the button band, the work is joined, and the knitting continues in the round while following the charted pattern on the front.
At the bottom of the armhole, the work is divided for the body and sleeves, and the parts are finished separately.
The body is worked straight down in stocking stitch with a patterned panel at the centre front, and finished with garter ridges and a picot edge.
The sleeves are worked straight down in stockinette and finished in the same way as the body.
Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline, and the collar is worked in garter stitch with increases and finished with a picot edge.
