La Blusa Marina nace del cruce entre memoria, amistad y diseño.
En 2024 creé la Blusa Murmullo como un agradecimiento a la comunidad del tejido chilena, inspirada en la fuerza colectiva del murmullo de los estorninos. Ese diseño marcó un momento importante en mi camino y reforzó la idea de que el tejido se vuelve más poderoso cuando nace acompañado.

En 2025, mi amiga Marina Torreblanca me pidió una versión con la misma estructura, pero con un calado más sencillo. Su petición dio origen a esta reinterpretación, que honra su influencia en mi historia creativa y celebra la amistad como motor del diseño.

La Blusa Marina es una prenda de silueta boxy, con manga caída y holgura positiva. Se teje de arriba hacia abajo, comenzando en la espalda con un montaje provisional. El canesú se trabaja en plano con vueltas cortas alemanas y un motivo calado que define de forma natural la estructura de la prenda y las mangas.
Luego se separan cuerpo y mangas; el cuerpo se teje en circular en punto jersey y finaliza con una pretina en elástico retorcido simple. El escote se termina con un borde en I-cord y las mangas se cierran con una pretina del mismo elástico.

MEDIDAS

Las siguientes medidas han sido tomadas después de bloquear la prenda terminada. Se sugiere usar esta prenda con una holgura positiva de 23 cm / 9” alrededor del pecho. Por lo tanto, de la siguiente tabla elige la talla cuya medida A de circunferencia de pecho sea unos 23 cm mayor que la circunferencia de tu propio pecho.

The Marina Blouse is born at the intersection of memory, friendship, and design.

In 2024, I created the Murmullo Blouse as a thank-you to the Chilean knitting community, inspired by the collective strength of a murmuration of starlings. That design marked an important moment in my journey and reinforced the idea that knitting becomes more powerful when it is shared.

In 2025, my friend Marina Torreblanca asked me for a version with the same structure but a simpler lace pattern. Her request gave rise to this reinterpretation, which honors her influence on my creative path and celebrates friendship as a driving force behind design.

The Marina Blouse features a boxy silhouette with dropped shoulders and generous positive ease. It is worked top-down, beginning at the back with a provisional cast-on. The yoke is worked flat, using German short rows and a lace pattern that naturally defines both the garment structure and the sleeves.
The body and sleeves are then separated; the body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with a simple twisted rib hem. The neckline is finished with an I-cord edge, and the sleeves are completed with matching twisted rib cuffs.
