ABOUT THE PATTERN
Braid Sweater is born from my Braid Tee pattern. While the essence of the design remains the same, this version introduces key changes that transform it into a warmer and more versatile garment. The most important difference is the use of DK-weight yarn instead of fingering, along with the addition of sleeves, making this sweater perfect for cooler days.
This is an elegant and delicate design, where I wanted to bring together two techniques that are very characteristic of my work. One of them is the use of a single bead worked over three stitches, adding subtle sparkle and texture. The other is a three-dimensional braid created using i-cord, which gives the sweater depth, movement, and a distinctive sculptural detail.
