Branching
This sumptuous, cabled blanket feels both traditional and modern with alternating banded blocks of lush cables and clean vertical ribbing. Worked in a smooth, springy five-ply merino yarn, the motifs are carved in relief-like detail. The lush unfolding cables were inspired by the natural symmetry of leaves and branching trees and bring echoes of the great outdoors into the heart of the home. The cable motifs are satisfying and absorbing to knit, while sections of ribbing throughout provide breathing space (and also welcoming periods of mindless stitching in between!).
