This bandana-style cowl combines double knitting and double-stranded (“marled”) garter stitch to create a reversible plaid/gingham fabric.

Both written instructions and charts are included in the pattern, plus modification notes for a loop cowl (non-bandana style), a triangular shawl, a scarf, a washcloth, or a blanket. See last photos for examples of modification ideas.
