This cowl is a companion to the RIBB Cowl which I created for a friend after seeing a double ribbed cowl in a designer store for almost $200.

These cowls are fun, fast and stylish to knit. They are a great pattern for gifts or quick knits.

A note on yarn selection.
This pattern works in any Double knitting or 10ply yarn. I have used yarns with a possum content for the luxurious feel, but Gaia from Skeinz is also an excellent option.

Also experiment with double stranding a fine brushed Mohair such as Whisper fine with a 3/4ply yarn such as Pearl Lustre, Flight Lite or Cozy
