Bunad shawl
The Bunad shawl is worked top-down like a traditional triangle shawl, but with a growing centre panel to give the wingspan a slight curve. The shawl is strongly inspired by Norwegian bunadsjal that are commonly worn with a bunad dress, draped around the shoulders. The fine woollen-spun yarn on big needles gives a light and lofty garter fabric so that you can wear a big warm shawl that hardly weighs anything at all.
I hope you will enjoy this pattern, and if you need any help or have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me in my Ravelry group ‘Skeindeer Knits’. It’s the best place for swift support. Happy knitting!
