This tea cozy is worked both in the round and flat to make room for the handle and spout. It is made for a 4 to 6 cup pot but could be made taller before the second joining. To make it larger you would need 2 balls of yarn. The buttonhole tab is worked sideways on live stitches left from the bind-off. Adding a big button makes it even more fun.

The needle I suggest is a 16” circular size 10.
