I design many of my patterns for classes or workshops. This hat worked well for getting the optimum number of color switches in a 2 1/2 hour session. I was pleasantly surprised when the varigated yarn created a lovely swirl effect.

The needles used were 16” circulars with size 10 double points for the decrease.

NOTE: Some typos have been brought to my attention:

SYO2 in Abbreviations and Dec Rnd 4A should be changed to S2YO.

SOY in Pattern Rows 2B, Dec Rnd 3B, 5B, and 6A should be changed to SYO.

Also SOY2 in Dec Rnd 2A should be S2YO.

On Dec row 1B the first asterisk should be before the ssk so the whole repeat is Ssk, (k2tog, SYO) twice.
