Focal point is the Fair Isle yoke—we used a mauvey theme with wedgwood for the body part, repeated with larkspur, helio and white for the patterning. Other ideas include moorat brown with natural fawn/orange/brown, petrol blue with ice blue/hazel/natural fawn.

Everyone’s determined to sport a Shetland sweater this season! Long admired for their subtle colourings, their lightweight warmth, this one’s a real beauty.
Materials:
- Four and a half “cuts” of “Hillswick” Brand Shetland Wool in ground shade for the 34-inch bust size; five “cuts” for the 36-inch and 38-inch bust sizes.
- For any one size: half-a-cut each of dark, medium and light shades
- A pair each of UK No. 13 and No. 11 knitting needles
- A UK No. 11 circular needle
- A 5-inch slide fastener
Tension:
Work at a tension of 7½ stitches to 1 inch in width over the stocking stitch, using No. 11 needles, to obtain the measurements.
