Bygone Beret
This timeless mesh beret is a nod to the glamour of a bygone era yet it’s equally wearable with a modern t-shirt and jeans.
The body of the hat is crocheted in an open weave or mesh pattern from the top down and worked in the round. The band of the hat is worked in single crochet stitches to provide a snug fit around your head. One skein of Malabrigo Rios yarn in the colorway Jupiter was used to make the beret in the photos.
The double layered flower can be attached onto the hat with a safety pin or sewn on permanently. You can even weave a ribbon through the row of decorative holes in the band of the hat for another look.
