A luxurious cabled, slouchy knit hat (optionally beaded) constructed with two yarns held together–hand dyed fingering weight yarn is used as the base yarn along with lace weight mohair/silk to provide each stitch extra loft and warmth. Beads adorn the tops and bottoms of each of the broken cables in the pattern.

About 80 size 6/0 beads are used to embellish this hat.

One 25 g skein of Southampton (230 yds) and one 50g hank of Show Stopper (231 yds) is enough to complete this hat and stockinette stitch gauge swatch.
