From Simple Knits for Cherished Babies:

This really simple teddy bear is a gift to cherish.  It is constructed like a sweater with a back, font, sleeves (as arms), and a head knitted in once piece, and two little ears.  The wonderfully soft yarn makes it an instant favorite for any baby to cuddle.  Once knitted, it is simply stitched and filled with soft stuffing.  A simple chart shows you where to increase and decrease.  The teddy’s face is embroidered in satin stitch.  You can personalize it in any way you choose.  A cotton bow under the chin provides the finishing touch.
