How have you managed with life during a global pandemic? 2020 has taken some unusual turns with the way we work, socialise and live together.
It has been a time of anxiety, stress, fear and also a time to slow down, relish the simple things and spend more time at home. I know that is an oversimplified view but at the time I designed this particular shawl, my mind was racing and the unknown was beginning to chafe a bit, I felt a little like a cat in a hurricane…

Gauge:
Not critical, but if you have a limited amount of yarn, may go down a half needle size.

Finished Dimensions:
6’ x 3’ approx.

Notes:
o The shawl is knit in stocking stitch with 3 garter stitch border stitches on each side and has a knit on garter stitch edging
o There is a spine stitch separating two identical triangles
o The charts do not show the spine stitch or the side stitches (3 on each side)
o Odd rows are read from right to left and even rows from left to right
o I used markers between each repeat (28 stitches) of the Rose Leaf Stripe to make things easier to keep track of

What you will need:
o 3 skeins of sock yarn in contrasting colours. I used Ellie and Ada Sock yarns (460 yards per 100g) in colourways (Colour B) I put a Spell on you and (Colour C) Something in the way and (Colour A) Green Elephant Yarn SW Merino 4ply sock (465 yards per 150g) in colourway 13
o The shawl shown used 980 yards of yarn in total. 400 yards of colour A, 207 yards of colour B and 377 yards of colour C.
o 3.5mm circular needles
o Stitch markers for placing between sections
o Tapestry needle
o Sharp scissors
