I was asked to make a stocking cap for an order, a long stocking cap that came down well past the neck. I searched around for patterns, but couldn’t seem to find anything like it. All the ones I found were the elf hats which were too short for what I needed. So I decided to write this pattern up for a simple, long stocking cap. Mine was made for a man in I Love This Yarn: Naturals in Cocoa. It looked great in the end, so I typed up the pattern to have it sent out to testers. Boy, did they amaze me with the products they made with my pattern. They added their own little touches to make each hat unique. It really shows what can be done with something simple to make it look amazing. With added embellishments, color changes, or even just a cool pom pom or tassel, this pattern changes drastically!
