“The Birds” was required reading in my 9th grade English class. The teacher timed it so that our reading coincided with the annual migration. When I saw the movie, I kept thinking back to the flocks of birds that we saw when reading the story.

The socks feature a column of symbolized birds in flight on the leg and heel flap with a single feather on the foot. The column spirals around the leg with the remainder of the leg worked in ribbing. The foot is worked in stockinette.

The leg pattern is mirrored, with the spirals going in opposite directions.
