Celestin is a oversized but cropped sweater with saddle shoulders. Its 3 colour checkered pattern all over the body and sleeves (mosaic technique) gives it a retro style from the 70’s. It’s worked seamless from the top down. First the body is worked, then the sleeves are picked up and knit in the round.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES 
Main Fabric: 3.75mm / US 5 circular needle, 40 cm / 16” length for the saddle-shoulders, 60-80 cm / 24-32” length (depending on chosen size) for the body AND knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round for the sleeves.
 
Ribbing and short rows: 3.50 mm / US 4 circular needle, 40 cm / 16” length for the neckline and the yoke, 60-80 cm / 24- 32” length (depending on chosen size) for the bottom hem AND knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round for the cuffs.

Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Célestin est un pull ample, court avec des manches marteau. Son motif à carreaux 3 couleurs sur tout le vêtement (technique à mailles glissées), lui donne un petit air retro 70’s. Il se tricote du haut vers le bas, sans couture. On tricote d’abord le corps puis les manches sont relevées et tricotées en rond.
