Welcome to the “Chain” pattern, a round yoke sweater knitted from the top down, seamlessly standing out for its unique play of colors and textures in gradient. This design is a visual pleasure and an adventure in innovative techniques. With “Chain,” you will explore the technique of roosamine adapted with an i-cord, offering the freedom to customize it with different materials, from ribbons to bulky yarns. The star detail is the lace in the center of the yoke, enhanced with unique yarns that carry beads and sequins, though you can opt for mohair or any other yarn you prefer. “Chain” is your canvas to experiment, create, and elevate your knitting to a new level of personal expression.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES AND CABLES
Main needles: 3.75 mm / US 5, or the size needed to obtain the gauge.

GAUGE
22 stitches x 28 rounds = 10 cm / 4”
Measured over stockinette stitch after blocking, worked in the round with main needles and yarn A.

YARNS:
First of all, I want to tell you that in this design, you can freely mix colors to your liking. In this sweater, I create a gradient where I will show you the suggested yarns and how I used. However, many testers were very creative and achieved a fading effect using mohair. On the page 4, I’ll give you an idea of this. I recommend making a swatch with your colors, so you’ll feel more confident when knitting. Another detail to note, from size 3 onwards, I alternated using Yarn C and Yarn A in some sections to make one skein sufficient for different sizes. If you wish, you can buy two skeins of this.

Note: For sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, there are some sections that will not have this yarn. Therefore, you might consider buying an extra skein to add more shine.

Yarn D: This yarn is for making the I-cord you can use a scrap yarn / 25 g approx/ 150 m.

ACERCA DEL PATRÓN
Chain, un suéter de canesú circular tejido de arriba hacia abajo, sin costuras, que destaca por su único juego de colores y texturas en degradado! Este diseño es un placer visual y una aventura en técnicas innovadoras. Con “Chain”, explorarás la técnica de “roosamine”, pero esta vez tejida con un cordón, que te ofrece la libertad de personalizarla con diferentes materiales, desde cintas hasta hilos gruesos. El detalle estrella es el encaje en el centro del canesú, realzado con hilos especiales que llevan cuentas y lentejuelas, aunque puedes optar por mohair o cualquier otro hilado que prefieras. “Chain” es perfecto para experimentar, crear y elevar tu tejido a un nuevo nivel de expresión personal.

HILADOS
Primero que todo, quiero decirte que en este diseño, puedes mezclar libremente los colores a tu gusto. En este suéter, creé un degradado donde te mostraré los hilos sugeridos y cómo los use. Sin embargo, muchas testers fueron muy creativas y lograron un efecto de difuminado usando mohair. En la página 4, te daré una idea de esto. Te recomiendo hacer una muestra con tus colores, así te sentirás más seguro/a al tejer. Otro detalle a tener en cuenta, a partir de la talla 3, alterné el uso de color C y color A en algunas secciones para hacer que un ovillo de color C sea suficiente para diferentes tallas. Si lo deseas, puedes comprar dos ovillos del color C.
