Chalkboard is a slouchy, drop-sleeved cardigan with a fantastic slip-stitch pattern around the hem and trims of sleeves, creating squares and rectangles one might see on the school Mathematics chalkboard. Using a punchy colour to overlay on the natural Zwartbles and Exmoor Blueface blend makes a fun accentuated statement. This colour is also used inside of all the folded trims for a flash of colour when you wear the cardigan un-done or fold your sleeves up.
Chalkboard is knit from the bottom up in one piece, split for the sleeves and joined at the shoulders. Stitches are then picked up and knit at the armhole and knit downwards.
The John Arbon Textiles Exmoor Zwartbles is a delicious bouncy DK yarn with a strong sheepy smell, perfect for outer layers to keep the cold at bay.
Choose two non-superwash yarns for the over layed slip stitch pattern to fuse to the main fabric.
