Resilience doesn’t mean never getting hurt, but rather, being able to accept the pain and come back from devastation. The Chamerion flower, also known as Fireweed, is a plant that flourishes in areas affected by forest fires. Despite the hardship faced, these little flowers bloom and stand out against what remains of the charred forest floor. What appears small and delicate is actually resourceful and resilient, something I believe we should all strive to be.

This cowlkerchief is inspired by the yarn it is made with by Fireweed Fibre Co. It is lacey and intricate with a soft mohair halo, yet extremely warm and cozy.

The pattern is knit with merino and mohair held together.

Alternatively, it can be knit with 318 (381, 429, 459) yds / 291 (348, 392, 420) m of a single strand of DK weight yarn.
