I am the person who is usually cold when everyone else is comfortable or warm. I started knitting shawls because they were easy to toss in a bag or roll up in a ball for those moments when I needed a little extra warmth. I would always make my shawls larger than the directions so that I could tie them to stay on while I was working. After making one that naturally stayed on while I moved about, I decided that this was the shape for me and that I needed to design other s like it.

In trying to come up with a name for this piece, friends from my knitting group suggest naming it after wines (as having a glass is a favorite thing to do while knitting) and thus the name. Hopefully, this is the beginning of my wine themed shawls. I already have an image in my mind for the Champagne one.
Hope you enjoy making this as much as I did designing it.
