This toe-up sock has an easy to remember stranded pattern, with a pinstriped sole and gusset

Sizes - measured around mid-foot

  • Small - 7” (17.75cm)
  • Medium - 8 “ (20.25cm)
  • Large - 9” (22.75cm)

In terms of the amount of yarn you need, for all sizes I would suggest 100g of main colour; for the contrast you should be fine with just 50g, unless you are making a large (or long) sock, in which case you may be safer with 100g of each.

I used Artesano Definition sock yarn (now sadly discontinued) and Regia 4 ply. Some of my testers used lightly variegated yarns with very good results.

The instructions for the construction of the socks are all written, the colourwork pattern is both charted and written out so you can choose which you prefer.

I’d love it if you’d come to my group to show off your lovely socks, or chat about them while you’re making them. You’d be very welcome!
