Choose Your Adventure Brioche
These two hat patterns are designed to help you get the hang of brioche knitting in the round! The first is basic two-color brioche throughout and will help you get used to the ins and outs of the technique. The second introduces a simple faux-cable pattern, and will teach you how to increase and decrease in pattern. Learn why so many knitters love the squishy fabric that brioche creates!
Finished Measurements
Circumference: 17” (note – hat is very stretchy). To achieve a smaller or larger hat, consider going up or down a needle size to get a different gauge.
Depth: 8.5”
Materials
Jimmy Beans Wool Reno Rafter 7 (100% Rafter 7 merino wool; 100g/215 yds)
1/2 skein each of 2 colors (approx. 30 g each used in samples shown)
Needle: US Size 6 (4 mm) 16” circular and set of dpns or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle
