This cloche is inspired by the bell-shaped hats popularized in the 1920s. The yak and silk blend yarn creates a soft fabric that is a delight to wear. The Brim can be worn folded up or pulled out flat.
Chou (shOO) pl. choux (shOO) – A large fabric rosette used as a trimming. Origin: French – “cabbage, rosette.”
Cloche Fr. (klush)/Eng. (klOsh) – Bell-shaped hat with deep snug fitting crown and narrow brim. It covered the forehead in front and the hair to the nape of the neck in back. Origin: French – “bell.”
