The Pillbox Hat: Knit flat. It is a 2 row repeat. The brim knit in 7 rows garter stitch, the body in a diagonal stitch and the crown in a stockinette stitch.
The drawstring hat: Knit flat. It is a 4 row repeat pattern stitch. The brim knit in 7 rows garter stitch, the body in a type of false cables that I have modified to create a new stitch. The crown knit in a reversed stockinette stitch with an eyelet row to draw a ribbon or an I- cord.
Stitches used: knit, purl, YO, skp, kf&b, passyo and knit 2 together.

Recommended Yarn: Any Light DK (Double knit ) / Weight 3 yarn or even a Sports weight that will give you the appropriate gauge.

DPNS size US 4 (3.50 mm) x 2 for the I cord
