Color Theory Cowl
This cowl is designed to be a canvas for playing with color. Sections of stripes and colorwork offer different ways to experiment and see how colors blend or bounce off one another. While the pattern uses 6 colors, there is no reason you can’t incorporate even more! Stay on course, knitting the colors as written, or veer off course and trust your instincts. If making the small size,
consider making the cowl shorter lengthwise so that it fits more comfortably around the neck.
To add more or different sections of colorwork or stitch patterns, look for patterns that are multiples of 6 or 10.
Some tips for choosing colors:
- Choose a mix of light, medium and dark colors – if you’d like your colorwork to pop!
- Push yourself to be adventurous with color! Don’t include more than one or two neutral colors if your aim is to explore mixing colors.
- While the pattern uses 6 colors, there is no reason you can’t include more than that!
