Columbine Shawl
I really like some of the old-time lace edging patterns and stitches used in the old-time table cloth patterns. The edging for this shawl comes from that tradition.
Begin by using a provisional cast-on and work the lace border. I’ve added dangles to dress up the edge while working the crochet bind off. Then remove the provisional cast-on, and work in stockinette with eyelet edging above the border and at the final bind-off edge. Short-rows are used to create the wedge shape, along with increases at the beginning of RS rows.
