Contiguous Diamond Cardigan
This cardigan knit seamlessly from the top down. The design uses contiguous method developed by Suzie M.
It is worked in Stockinette stitch with lacy front panels and the back that creates unique and fancy look. The small lace details on the sleeves add additional charm to the design.
Sizes available :
To fit Chest/Bust (inches): 30(XS), 34(S), 37(M), 40(L), 43(XL)
To fit Chest/Bust (cm): 77(XS), 86(S), 94(M), 100(L), 108(XL)
The cardigan should be worn with no ease.
Yarn:
worsted or heavy worsted yarn
approx. 710yrd/650m (820/750, 984/900, 1200/1100, 1320/1200)
The yarn used in this sample is cotton yarn, but it can easily be substituted with any wool/merino yarn.
Needles:
4.0 mm / US #6 circular needle (60 cm / 24” long, 40 cm / 16” long) and/or dpns.
3.5 mm / US #4 circular needle (60 cm / 24” long, 40 cm / 16” long) and/or dpns.
Additional Materials:
8 buttons (about 1.8 cm / 3/4” in diameter), stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving, stitch holders / scrap yarn.
Gauge:
17 sts and 24 rows in 10 cm / 4” in St st using 4.0 mm / US #6 needles
Please, check your gauge. If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
