“Così Fan Tutte” is a unique asymmetric shawl worked from the top down.
The first section is simply knit in striped garter stitch.
The following section is worked in lace and shaped into a wedge using short rows.
The work continues in striped garter stitch for the entire width of the shawl and is completed by a simple garter stitch border.

Finished measurements:
190 cm – 74 ¾ in wide along the top edge and 53 cm – 20 ¾ in deep at the center.

Yarn and needles:
THE UNCOMMON THREAD Merino Silk Fingering (Fingering weight yarn; 50% Wool Merino and 50% Silk: 402 m – 440 yds / 100 gr – 3.53 oz. skein);
First colour (FC) – Birthstone: 1 skein (325 m – 356 yds);
Second colour (SC) – Viola Odorata: 1 skein (285 m – 312 yds).
Circular needles:
4 mm – US 6 and 6 mm – US 10 (optional, used for the final bind-off) with an 80 cm – 32 in or longer cable.
Please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Tapestry needle and scissors.
Pins and a tape measure for blocking.

Gauge:
17 sts and 30 rows = 10 cm – 4 in in garter stitch (after blocking).

“Così Fan Tutte” è un originalissimo scialle asimmetrico lavorato top down.
La prima sezione dello scialle è lavorata molto semplicemente a maglia legaccio e a righe.
Si inserisce quindi un’altra sezione che, lavorata in pizzo e modellata con i ferri accorciati, ha la forma di uno spicchio.
Alla fine si riprende a lavorare a maglia legaccio a righe su tutta l’ampiezza dello scialle e si conclude con un bordo a maglia legaccio molto semplice.

Misure finite:
190 cm lungo il lato più lungo e 53 cm lungo la parte centrale.

Filato e ferri:
THE UNCOMMON THREAD Merino Silk Fingering (50% Lana Merino e 50% Seta: 402 m per matassa da 100 gr);
Primo colore (PC) – Birthstone: 1 matassa (325 m);
Secondo colore (SC) – Viola Odorata: 1 matassa (285 m).
Ferri circolari:
numero 4 mm e 6 mm (quest’ultimo solo per la chiusura) con cavo lungo 80 cm o più.
Se necessario modificare il numero dei ferri per ottenere il campione corretto.
Ago da lana e forbici.
Spilli e metro da sarta per il bloccaggio.

Campione:
17 m x 30 f = 10 cm lavorati a maglia legaccio (dopo il bloccaggio).

“Così Fan Tutte” ist ein ausgefallener asymmetrischer Schal, der von oben nach unten gestrickt wird.
Der erste Teil ist einfach und wird kraus rechts in Streifen gestrickt.
Danach wird ein Zwickel mit Spitzenmuster hinzugefügt: die verkürzten Reihen verleihen ihm die Form eines Kipferls.
Der Schlussteil wird wieder kraus rechts in Reihen gestrickt entlang des gesamten Schals. Der Schal wird mit einem einfachen kraus rechts gestrickten Rand abgeschlossen.

Endmaße:
190 cm entlang des längeren Randes; 53 cm in der Mitte (nach der Spannung).

Garn und Nadeln:
THE UNCOMMON THREAD Merino Silk Fingering (50% Wolle Merino und 50% Seide: 402 m/100 g);
Erste Farbe (EF) – Birthstone: 1 Strang (325 m);
Zweite Farbe (ZF) – Viola Odorata: 1 Strang (285 m).
Rundnadeln:
nr. 4 mm und 6 mm (diese werden nur beim Abketten der Maschen verwendet) mit einem mindestens 80 cm langen Kabel.
Testen Sie ev. verschiedene Nadelstärken, um die Maschenprobe zu treffen.
Wollnadel und Schere.
Stecknadeln und Maßband zum Spannen.

Maschenprobe:
17 M x 30 Reihen = 10 cm kraus (o glatt?) rechts gestrickt (gespannt).
