The Courage Shawl is the fourth installment in my A Single Candle series. There are many moments in life when we need to summon the courage to do the right thing or even to love someone - Mahatma Gandhi reminds us that a coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.
Worked from the center out with increases that create a spiral, panels of lace resembling the flames of courage flow from the center (heart), reaching out to the edges of the shawl. To finish, a loose lace bind-off is used once the size is reached.
Charts as well as line-by-line instructions are included in this pattern.
Finished Measurements:
Circumference: 43 1/2 (57)“ / 110.5 (145) cm
This shawl used 2 (3) skeins of Lascaux Fine.
