Crooked River Socks
The Crooked River Socks are a fun ribbed sock knit with a little extra. A bar is created and then picked up to create a subtle texture but still have stretch to achieve a snug fitting sock.
The 4 stitch/4 round pattern repeat will be easy to remember once you get the rhythm of it.
This pattern will look good with that special hand dyed sock yarn in your stash or lovely solid colour yarn that has been waiting at the local yarn store for you.
100 grams of sock yarn was used in each of the samples with the small size using approximately 295 metres and the extra large 400 metres.
There are 5 size options ranging from adult small to extra large.
The leg circumference range being 7 to 9 inches/18 to 23 cm.
2 mm needles are recommended for a firm fabric that will be long lasting but if you are a tight knitter or prefer a looser fabric,
2.25 mm needles may be more to your liking.
I hope you enjoy this pattern and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Happy Knitting!
Susan.
