A sumptuous fingering weight/4 ply cowl/headband knitting pattern, incorporating the subtle sparkle of those hard to resist luxury crystals.

This accessory is knitted in the round on circular needles or on dpns.

You will need around 120 - 160 metres (135 - 174 yds) of yarn, roughly about 30 - 40g of fingering weight yarn.
Mini-skeins would be perfect for this project. From a 100g ball of yarn, you could make roughly 3 cowls.

GAUGE
21 sts x 36 rows = 10cm/4”

SIZE
Circumference: 58 cm / 23”
Depth/height: 18 cm / 7” (stretched out) 3” / 8cm (ruched)

If you wish to make it wider, just add increments of 8 stitches to the cast on (approximately 4.5 cm) - for every 8 stitches added, increase the number of beads needed by four.

Materials and equipment needed:
• 4mm crystal beads x 60 (15 x 4 colours), or beads of your choice
• 4-ply yarn (fingering weight)
• Collapsible threading needle to add crystals/beads
• 3.50mm (US 4)circular knitting needles or dpns (double-pointed needles)
• Row counter/stitchmarker
• Sewing needle for yarn

This project is quick and easy to make. Use your leftover yarns from a sweater to make a matching cowl/headband - the possibilities are endless!

Be warned - this pattern is highly addictive, once you’ve made one , you’ll want to make another!

I previously sold this pattern as cowl kits, but I’m now releasing the pattern on it’s own for you to play with.
