Cutie Whootie
This adorable baby owl just begs to be loved. Easy to make, with classic amigurumi techniques, this pattern rates Advanced Beginner. I have included plenty of notes, which should clarify any questions you may encounter.
The gauge I give is for rounds 1-3 in pattern to equal 1.75” (4.5cm) or less. As with other amigurumi patterns, it is more important that you keep your work tight (but not too tight to work comfortably) than that you meet gauge exactly. The finished baby owl, when worked according to the listed gauge, is approximately 3.25” (8 cm) tall.
You will need less than 50 yards of worsted weight (aran) yarn, so this makes an adorable stashbuster. Crocheted in white, you may have a baby “Hedwig” for your Harry Potter fans. ;) This pattern is easily adapted to other yarns and weights as you desire, simply adjust your hook accordingly to keep the work firm and the stitches close.
