A field of daisies with a simple lace border - a crescent shaped version of my Four Corners triangle pattern.

Thanks to Skrumpellove for imagining this pattern and test-knitting the green sample, thanks to ginni for test-knitting and photographing the dark gray sample (main images), and thanks also to pinkpetals for test-knitting.

The dark gray sample was knit on 3.25mm/US3 needles with MC 650m/700yds of Knit Picks Palette yarn, dark gray and 59 x 3m/3.33yd lengths of different colors for the intarsia daisies. Shorter lengths can be spliced together for shading within the flowers - it’s a good way to use up colorful scraps …

Dimensions: approx. 53cm/21in deep at center back by 188cm/74in wide
Approximate Gauge: 23sts & 28 rows = 10cm/4in in intarsia pattern on 3.25/US3 needle

Techniques include lace knitting, stranding & intarsia.
The pattern also uses some short rows to give extra depth to the crescent - there’s a brief introduction to the technique in the pdf, but you might like to familiarize yourself with short rows in advance!

This is a charted pattern with multiple charts and short written instructions.
