This pattern is for a pair of lacy textured socks. The lace itself is an true lace that’s just perfect for socks, as it has a dimensional look to it. The stitch itself comes to us from Scotland. There’s enough “give” to make them comfortable: they will hug your ankle/leg without being too tight. There is an unusual lace work to make them interesting to look at and fun to knit. The back and front are the same until the heel flap.

These socks are perfect for summer shoes with open toes or with sandals.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting and purling, and lace knitting)

The lace stitch is both charted and written out. Both the written out section and the chart section are very easy.

This pattern is written for 2 circular needles and is written for sizes Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, and is sized by gauge (if you want to adjust your size from M, be sure to adjust your yarn so it matches your new needle size). MOST women wear socks in size M (shoe size 6 - 9)
