The Dame sweater is worked from the bottom up in the round from a ribbed cast-on, then separated and worked flat from the armscye to the shoulder shaping, leaving the neck stitches on a holder or waste yarn. The saddle sleeves are worked similarly, with the saddle-strap stitches left on a stitch holder or waste yarn. The sweater is then assembled, and the live neck and saddle-strap stitches are joined and worked in the round into a polo collar.

This pattern is published in Issue 61 of Knit Now magazine, which is on sale 26th May 2016 in shops throughout the UK. Physical copies can also be ordered from MoreMags and a digital version is available through the PocketMags app.
