The inspiration for these fingerless mitts came from the traditional Fair-Isle motifs and these beautiful colours of Uradale yarns that made me think of a golden sky at dawn.

The pattern contains charts. The mitts are worked in the round using double pointed needles and the stranded knitting technique.

Circumference hand ± 19 cm, length ± 18 cm after blocking. You can choose slightly smaller or larger needles to make the mitts a little bit smaller or larger.

The colours and amounts I used are:
25 g Tormentil Heath
15 g Speedwell Heath
10 g Flukkra
10 g Bluebell Heath

De traditionele Fair-Isle motieven en deze prachtige kleuren van Uradale Yarns, die me doen denken aan een gouden dageraad, waren de inspiratie voor deze mitaines.

Het patroon bevat teltekeningen. De mitaines worden op sokkennaaldjes in het rond gebreid met de ‘stranded knitting’ techniek (2 kleuren per toer).

Omtrek hand ± 19 cm – totale hoogte ± 18 cm na het blocken. Indien gewenst kunnen iets dunnere of dikkere naalden worden gebruikt om de mitaines wat kleiner of groter te maken.
