Dexy
Dungarees were my absolute favourite thing to dress my kid in when he was younger - not only do they look adorable but they are practical too, with plenty of space for ease of movement and no tight waistbands to irritate baby’s tummy. And I like to think that, with their fun colour blocking options, adjustable straps, and extra crotch space for puffy nappies, these particular dungarees are some of the most adorable and practical you’ll find!
After working the front and back panels flat, you’ll join both together to work the rest of the body in the round. Simple increases will create crotch shaping before crotch stitches are transferred to waste yarn, to be grafted together later. After finishing both legs, you’ll pick up stitches for straps and add a beautiful rainbow to the front using duplicate stitch.
Originally designed for Issue 180 of Knit Now magazine.
