The Driftwood Vest has the perfect chill summer vibe. The lace panel is knitted side to side, then stitches are picked up for the stockinette stitch fronts and back.

Difficulty Intermediate

Finished Size 14.75 (16.75, 18.75, 21.75, 23.25, 24.75, 26.25)“ back width. Vest shown measures 16.75” on model with 31.5” bust.

Yarn Sugar Bush Yarns Cabot (70% Pima cotton, 30% linen; 291 yd / 3.5 oz): wheat, 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): 32” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker; stitch holders; tapestry needle; size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook.

Gauge 21 sts and 28 rows = 4” in St st; 56 sts of lace panel = 11” wide.

Notes This vest begins with a lace border worked from side to side. Stitches for the body are picked up along the border and worked back and forth in one piece to the underarm, then the fronts and back are worked separately. A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
