As a knitter, I have been learning the “how-to’s” for over 15 years at this point. It always amazes me just how much there is to learn about knitting: the techniques, the stitches, the various fiber types. The list goes on. It has only been in the last three years or so that I have begun to define myself as a knitwear designer. My first published pattern, Cafe Au Lait, was launched through the Holla Knits website, managed by Allison Dykhuizen. She was an incredible inspiration to me, pushing me to improve my designs and my pattern writing skills.
Since those humble beginnings I have attempted to hone in on my design style and have focused on knits that are relatively simple to knit, but still have an aspect to them that creates interest for the more experience knitter. At the end of the day I want to create designs that are modern but timeless, pieces that you will want to cherish in your closet forever.
I hope you enjoy what I create, and if you don’t knit yet, I truly hope that these pages will entice you to pick up your first pair of needles and embark on the most rewarding fiber journey.
