”Dromi” is a headband with cables and garter sttich. It is shaped so it is narrower at the front and thus sits neatly on your head. The headband is knit flat and grafted together with kitchener stitch, so the seam is invisible. Dromi is a perfect beginners project, if you want to try out cables or working cables without a cable needle.
The name comes from Dromi – the second chain Thor forged to try and bind Fenrir. It broke and the dwarves then forged Gleipnir. I chose Dromi for the name, as the headband features the same style with garter stitch and cables as in my shawl Gleipnir from my book Nordic Shawls.

The headband has one width (easily adjustable) and 4 sizes. It is very elastic, and one size can easily fit many heads, depending on how tight you would like it to fit around your head. Both length and width are adjustable and these adjustments are described in the pattern.

Measurements:
Width of headband is 9 cm – unstretched.
Circumference approx. 39 (42) 45 (48) cm (unstretched)
Fits headsizes of approx. 44-51 (49-56) 53-60 (58-65) cm
