This is a knitting pattern for an adult sized hat. The pattern is worked in the round on a circular needle, changing to double pointed needles for the decreases. The charted colorwork section includes only two colors, and works up quickly since the pattern uses worsted weight yarn. It comes in one size, which should fit most adult women. The finished product is meant to fit the head exactly with a small amount of slouch at the top, and it will look great with or without the optional pompom.

Sizing:
The finished hat should measure approximately 9” wide (18” around) by 8.75” tall.

Gauge:
16 sts and 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Materials:

• One skein of Red Heart Super Saver in Color A (example is shown in Aruba Sea, if substituting yarn you will need 87 yds of worsted weight (CYC-4) yarn)
• One skein of Red Heart Classic in Color B (example is shown in Nickel, if substituting yarn you will need 43 yds of worsted weight (CYC-4) yarn)
• One US 8 (5.0 mm) 18-inch circular needle and one set of 5 US 8 (5.0mm) double pointed needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Pompom (optional)
