This pattern was inspired by the famous Dude Sweater. They are worked top-down and feature a heel-flap style heel. The pattern is written in two sizes, Medium (64 stitches) and Large (72 stitches), with gauge information to help you make a set that will fit you.

Materials:

Needles: Size US 1/2.25mm needles in sock knitting method of choice (DPNs, magic loop, etc.), or size needed to obtain desired gauge. Optional Size US 1.5/2.5 mm (or larger) for color work sections.

Yarn:
Fingering weight sock yarn in the following colors/quantities (feel free to substitute color as you see fit):

  • Cream Color (MC); 60 to 90 grams
  • Light Brown (CC1); 10 to 20 grams
  • Dark Brown/Black (CC2); 10 to 20 grams

Sample shown in pictures was knit using Cascade Heritage in the following colorways: 5618 Snow (MC), 5610 Camel (CC1) and 5609 Bark (CC2).
