Pricing update: I have increased my prices to more accurately represent the work that has gone into the making of my patterns. All my patterns have increased in prices, however my newer designs have increased more than my old ones, as I feel I have learned a lot over the years and the quality of my newer designs is higher. The price listed reflects what I believe is fair for the work put into the design, however I understand that the price increases may be inaccessible to some and am offering some tiered discounts for those that need them.

A “Choose What You Pay” model is available for this pattern, allowing both financial accessibility and fair pricing. The buyer may pay what they are able while still valuing the hard work invested to create this design. Use the codes below in order to pay the price listed after each. Choose whichever price works best for you!

  • No Code – Full Price = $10.00 CAD
  • PK10 – 10% off = $9.00 CAD
  • PK20 – 20% off = $8.00 CAD
  • PK30 – 30% off = $7.00 CAD

I also offer a Buy 3, Get 1 Free discount! Add any 4 of my patterns to your cart, and use the code BUY3GET1 to get the 4th pattern free! Note: the free pattern will be the lowest priced pattern.

The Duology scarf is a lovely simple garter stitch scarf with an i-cord edging. It is designed to be knit with sock and suri/mohair held together, and using 2 different colours in alternating combinations to create a colour blocking effect, or a fade if your colour choices are similar (ex. Colour 1 on sock + suri, then Colour 1 on sock + Colour 2 on suri, then Colour 2 on sock + Colour 1 on suri, and finally Colour 2 on sock + suri).

Size:
One size - approx. 87 inches wingspan, 16 inches depth
Size can be easily adjusted if desired.
Note: The size of your project may vary a little depending on your gauge/tension and the stretchiness and drape of your yarn, but it should be close to this if your gauge matches.

Needles recommended:
4.5 mm / US 7 / UK 7 - 40” cord or longer
Note: You may need other size needles to meet gauge.

Gauge:
20 sts x 28 rows = 4 x 4 inches
Worked flat in garter stitch.
Make sure to block your swatch, as this can significantly change the size of your swatch depending on your fiber choice. Keep in mind that the weight of the finished shawl may add a little extra stretch.

Yarn recommended:
2 colours of yarn, 1 skein of each on both sock and suri/mohair.

Yarn 1 - 1 skein of Colour 1 on fingering
Yarn 2 - 1 skein of Colour 2 on fingering
Yarn 3 - 1 skein of Colour 1 on suri/mohair
Yarn 4 - 1 skein of Colour 2 on suri/mohair

I used indie dyed yarn from Wool + Works on her Sock base (4 ply, 80% Superwash Extra Fine Australian Merino, 20% Nylon, 400 m / 100g) and Suri Silk Lace (2 ply, 74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Mulberry Silk, 300 m / 50 g)
Colour 1 - D.I.A.E.
Colour 2 - Michaelangelo

Yardage required:
Yarn 1 - approx. 75 g / 330 yds
Yarn 2 - approx. 75 g / 330 yds
Yarn 3 - approx. 45 g / 290 yds
Yarn 4 - approx. 45 g / 290 yds
Note: Yardage is an approximation and is calculated using the recommended size and gauge. Yardage can vary depending on your gauge and knitting, so I always recommend having a little bit extra in case you require more yardage.
