DYN takes inspiration from the rough seas and windswept sand dunes of my home in southern Sweden (“dyn” is Swedish for dune). This sweater has great texture and an uplifting colour palette, making it a real treat for the senses in the depths of winter. Mohair and alpaca are held together and worked to a fairly loose tension to produce a sweater that is light yet warm, and doesn’t take too long to make.

SHAPE & FIT
Dyn has a fairly flexible fit, and can be worn with anything from 5 to 15 cm/ 2 to 6” of positive ease.

CONSTRUCTION
The Dyn Sweater is worked top-down in three sections. First, the yoke is worked flat from side-to-side and seamed, with the seam sitting at the centre back. The slip stitch rows at the top of this section form the collar. Next, the body and part of the sleeves are worked in the round. Finally, the cuffs are worked flat from side-to-side, seamed together, and then seamed onto the sleeves.
