Unfortunately for them, cottontails are prey to a variety of predators - coyotes, owls, hawks, foxes, skunks, raccoons, snakes, weasels, opossums, cats, and dogs. Knitted ones should be pretty safe though. :-)

Eastern Cottontail Rabbit is a pattern which captures the look of this beautiful animal in a natural, running position. Details such as leg joints, a two-toned tail and ear shape really bring a stuffed animal to life.

Knit flat at first, stitches are then picked up behind the chest and worked in-the-round for the body. Knit entirely in one piece, the knitter gets to see their rabbit come alive in their hands as they work. Finished object is around 18” long and 5” wide.
