Crochet pattern for baby blanket with Elephant applique.

No big gaps so perfect for babies.

Written in US terms with abbreviations for UK.

Each square will measure approx 7 inches, 8 inches with border if done with aran.

Finished blanket will measure approx 33” x 23. But can easily be adjusted to make larger by making 5 squares tall and 4 squares wide or even larger the choice is yours.

My blanket is made in aran but can be made with dk/light worsted with a 4mm hook. The squares will be slightly smaller. Or you can even go chunky !

You could make just one applique, one for each light grey square or one for every square, the choice is yours to make your blanket unique.

Each square takes approx an hour to make.

Materials:

100g Aran/worsted in cream
110g Aran/worsted light grey
120g Aran/worsted dark grey
4.5mm hook
2mm hook
